Wing Nut

Instead of doing a book-of-the-week type thing, you may notice I am posting a new book every other day. If you have any suggestions of books to read, please post a comment!

I am in the middle of reading this, therefore I can exactly rate this in my own opinion. But if I were to rate this book from what I have read so far, I'd give it 9.9/10!

Summary: Grady Flood and his mom Lila have been moving around from place to place ever since his dad died. Lila gets a job looking after an old man named Charlie Fernwald. But Charlie doesn’t think he needs any help whatsoever. Grady can’t wait to move again because he thinks Charlie is weird. Then Charlie and Grady bond over fixing cars and purple martins. Does this mean Grady’s home and life is permanent once more or will life fall apart again?

The Penderwicks- Jeanne Birdsall

I read this finished this book yesterday, and I would definitely recommend it.

Meet the Penderwicks, four different sisters with one special bond. There’s responsible, practical Rosalind; stubborn, feisty Skye; dreamy, artistic Jane; and shy little sister Batty, who won't go anywhere without her butterfly wings.

When the girls and their doting father head off for their summer holiday, they're in for a surprise. Instead of the tumbledown cottage they expected, they find themselves on a beautiful estate called Arundel. Soon the girls are busy discovering the summertime magic of Arundel's sprawling gardens, treasure-filled attic, tame rabbits, and the cook who makes the best gingerbread in Massachusetts. But the most wonderful discovery of all is Jeffrey Tifton, son of Arundel's owner, who quickly proves to be the perfect companion for their adventures.

The icy-hearted Mrs. Tifton is not as pleased with the Penderwicks as Jeffrey is, though, and warns the new friends to stay out of trouble. Which, of course, they will—won’t they?

One thing's for sure: it will be a summer the Penderwicks will never forget.

Canterwood Crest- Jessica Burkhart

Ok, so i decided that I should do a "Book of the Week" for this blog, so each week come check out some books you may like!

Canterwood Crest is one of my favourite book series right next to Harry Potter (which are the most fabulous, amazing and well-written books in the world). The Canterwood Crest series is about a girl named Sasha and all that happens to her at her new boarding school called Canterwood Crest. From meeting Jacob to breaking up with Eric, you won't be able to stop reading these amazing books.

Don't forget to check out "City Secrets" coming to stores on July 6th!
